Social integration projects

We consider the support of socially disadvantaged groups an important task, which we carry out with the help of training courses and programs aimed at helping our target groups find a better position in society and in the labor market. In these programs, we develop strategies that help those excluded from the labor market find their way back into it, as well as help to solve their other general life problems. These strategies include training courses, support for the development of enterprises, and counseling, as well as complex development programs including animation, the reinforcement of motivation, personality development, raising public awareness, and the analysis of the needs of the labor market. The target groups of our projects have so far included young people with low educational levels, asylum seekers, and recent female graduates. Although the problems of the various target groups are different, our objective in each of these cases has been to provide the participants with personalized help and support that enables them to find a place in the labor market and society on their own.

Guidance and counselling
The Leonardo da Vinci pilot project titled "Guidance and Counseling" started in October 2004. The aim of this international cooperation is to adapt and develop counseling methods and tools that reinforce the opportunities and competencies of women with various backgrounds in their chances on the labor market. The first phase of the program included some research into the situation of women and gender equality on the labor market in the various participating countries. The aim of the research was to select that target group of women whose chances on the labor market the project can improve. We defined freshly graduated women holding a B.A. or an M.A. degree as the target group in Hungary We adapted the methods developed according to Danish, Dutch and Austrian models to the special needs of this target group. The pilot training started in December 2005, in the course of which five counseling experts test the method and help its further improvement and evaluation. The Hungarian pilott training is led by sociologist Éva Molnár.
