Looking for volunteers

We would be glad to have volunteers who would help us organize sightseeing visits, cultural and free time programs for the group.
We are also open to new ideas, let it be film-watching, a proposal for an excursion, eating out, or just a chat about something that might interest foreign people who want to get to know Hungary and get to know local people.

Newsletter about the program

We would like to compile a regular newsletter about the programs organized for the group. If you would like to receive such a newsletter, write us an email and we'll keep you posted!

The young people who arrived to Hungary in the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci program took part in a three-day on-arrival training program organized by Artemisszió in the second week of their stay. Besides group-building and the introduction of the project our was to have the participants think about and reflect on cultural differences, and the culturally determined nature of different types of behavior and habits. The theme of the training was built around intercultural learning and impressions/stereotypes. At the same time, they could also start to get to know Hungary and the scene of their next few months, Budapest through different interactive tasks.

After the training, the Swedish and French participants started an intensive 80-hour Hungarian language course and the Italian participants proceeded to an intensive English language course and an introductory Hungarian language course.

The young people will begin their training at their work placements on 17th October.
As one of our aims in this project is to have the young people get to know Hungary, Budapest and Hungarian culture as well as they can we would like to enable them to have many contacts with local people. To this end, while some of the participants stay in shared apartments, some of them live with Hungarian host families.
