Budapest Language Guide: a radio program about linguistic and cultural diversity in Civil Rádió

The Budapest Language Guide project by Civil Rádió calls attention to the importance of language learning in a playful and innovative manner. Its aim is to illustrate linguistic and cultural diversity by using tools of radio communication. Participants include young foreigners living in Budapest and have been recruited through Artemisszió Foundation: our Portuguese interns, ex-Leonardo participants and volunteers all appear in the program. The task of young foreigners is to solve everyday challenges such as shopping at the local market, cooking traditional Hungarian dishes with the help of a Hungarian family or buying a train ticket. What means of communication they use, only depends on their creativity. The situations are recorded and together they compose a living language book, which illustrates Budapest and Hungarian culture and lifestyle. The five-minute language clips will be on air every weekday on several occasions.
