Artemisszió Foundation has launched a new project, Schools act globally dealing with issues of global education.

Global education aims to open up new horizons and illuminate interdependencies between local lifestyles and global happenings. It enables one to look beyond one's regional and national environment, to familiarize oneself with the experiences of people living in other parts of the world and to develop motivation to learn from the others. Global education encourages people to actively shape the world they live in and equips them with the necessary skills to construct thinking and action characterized by solidarity. Enhancing human dignity through promotion of social justice is one of the basic tenets of global education. Therefore, global education involves education promoting development, human rights, peace and conflict prevention, intercultural learning and global citizenship.

The core theme of the project is global interdependence and its effect on developing countries. Interactions and dependencies between the EU and developing countries will be illustrated through the example of trade with agricultural products.
