Theatre Arts as Intercultural Exchange Tools (TAIET)
Come and join us from 25th July to the 1st of August in Budapest, Hungary
This Training Course will bring young people from diverse European backgrounds together to learn innovative tools for engaging youth in social action at the local level. The primary focus of the Training Course will be the use of theatre arts to promote intercultural dialogue.
Each participant will come to this project with ideas about the possibility to use these tools in their future plans.
The Czech N.A. for the YIA Programme, collaborating with Artemisszió and its trainer Gabriella Nagy, will organise a training for youth workers about how to facilitate efficiently the learning process of EVS volunteers. Application deadline: 20th June.
Integration workshops and programs for refugee children
In a project financed by the Ministry of Culture and Education Artemisszió organized weekly programs and field trips for children between the ages of six and ten living in the Bicske Reception Center for refugees and asylum-seekers through the end of May, 2008.

The life of Leonardo trainees in Budapest - A study report
Magdalena Zima spent nine months at Artemisszio as an EVS volunteer. In this time she wrote a study, which tells the stories of Portuguese volunteers staying in Hungary. EVS training course in Monoszló - July 10 -14, 2007
In July 2007 our Foundation was commissioned by Mobilitás once again to organize a Volunteers' Club for foreign volunteers who do their voluntary projects in Hungary within the European Voluntary Service. 14 volunteers took part in the training. details
We have launched a new project: Schools act globally dealing with issues of global education.
The core theme of this project is global interdependence and its effect on developing countries. Interactions and dependencies between the EU and developing countries will be illustrated through the example of trade with agricultural products. details
Intercultural and communication workshops for school groups in the House of Future
Since April 11, 2007 on Wednesdays and Fridays, Artemisszió Foundation offers workshops for school groups aged 12-18 in the House of Future focusing on issues of global education, diversity, communication and conflict resolution. details

In March 2007 our colleague, Éva Tessza Udvarhelyi went to Madrid and participated in the final seminar of the long-term training course on development education aimed at improving the skills of trainers working in the field of popular education and global education. details

Portuguese young people will arrive to start their vocational placement

Intercultural training for asylum seekers, Poroszló, October 9-11, 2006.
Within the framework of our Equal project, N.E.E.D.S.- Individually through Equal Chances, our Foundation organized a three-day training for asylum seekers in Poroszló, nearby lake Tisza. This training is part of a complex program, which aims at fostering the labor market integration of asylum seekers. details

Within the framework of our Equal project, N.E.E.D.S.- Individually through Equal Chances, our Foundation organized a two-day intercultural training for social workers. Volunteer Club- 8-12 September, 2006 Pálköve
Between 8th and 12th of October, 2006 we organized a Volunteers' Club in Pálköve - a beautiful village North of Lake Balaton. Twelve French, German, Armenian, Turkish and Italian volunteers participated in the training who have have come to Hungary to work in various civil organisations.
International cooperation in the field of youth work
The Artemisszió Foundation hosted an Austrian theatre expert in August 2006 within the framework of the Youth Programme (2000-2006) to exchange know-how regarding the methodology of international youth work and training techniques. details

Volunteer Club in Eger
On behalf of Mobilitás, Artemisszió Foundation organized a Volunteer Club for foreign volunteers residing in Hungary between April 18 and 22, 2006 and May 12 and 16, 2006. The club took place in Eger with altogether 39 participants. details
Being a Leonardo trainee in Budapest - Research report
Annastiina Kallius spent 9 months at Artemisszió as an EVS volunteer. During her time, she wrote a study in English, which describes the experiences of foreign Leonardo trainee in Hungary. "Balance 3" project participants left for Sweden and Italy in April 2006
Balance 3 is our Leonardo da Vinci mobility project for socially disadvantaged young people who are unemployed. The participants of this project left for Sweden (Arvidsjaur) and Italy (Forlí and Verbania) in April 2006 for their 14-week vocational training. The preparatory training of the participants took place between February 22 and 26, 2006 in Horpács. details

"The Best Sent EVS volunteer of the Year"- Mobilitás Prize for our ex-volunteer.
Udvarhelyi Éva Tessza, our ex-volunteer received the prize on December 10, 2005 during the ceremony organized for the 10-year anniversary of Mobilitás. Tessza volunteered at the Portuguese organization, Rota Jovem between September 15, 2004 and March 14, 2005. It was established that Tessza "working in a civil organization and committed to intercultural learning, consciously undertook the European Voluntary Service, so that upon her return she could make use of her Portuguese experiences within her Hungarian organization." Our workshop series that involved Hungarian, French and German experts finished in December 2005. The series looked at and compared the systems of integration operating in the various countries, and explored the possibilities of the use of the intercultural approach. details

Our volunteer in Ecuador - the European Voluntary Service outside of Europe
Since Hungary became a member of the European Union, the organizations taking part in the Youth 2000-2006 Program also have the opportunity to cooperate with the so-called partner countries outside of Europe. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Artemisszió was the first in Hungary to send a volunteer to Quito, the capital of Ecuador. details
A new EVS volunteer at the Artemisszió Foundation
Our new EVS volunteer - Annastiina Kallius - arrived on 5 September 2005 in the Artemisszió Foundation to participate in the "Helping Tibet into Future" project as a volunteer for 9 month. Stiina arrived from Finland and is working as a volunteer partly at our foundation and partly with the Sambhala Tibet Center. details
Budapest workshop: an exploration of the capital of Hungary from a culturally sensitive point of view -NEXT WORKSHOP November 19-20, 2005.
This two-day workshop is designed for young foreigners staying in Budapest for a longer period of time for work, study, volunteering etc. The aim of the workshop is to offer participants an insight into the deeper layers of the city, to allow them to discover places and venues outside of regular tourist routes and to help them understand the social and cultural development and transformation of the city and its society.
French, Swedish and Italian young people arrived for a Leonardo training project
On 12th September, within the frame of the Leonardo da Vinci program a group of 15 people arrived to Hungary (3 people from France, Grenoble, 4 people from Sweden, Arvidsjaur, 3 people from South Italy, Altamura and 5 people from Center Italy, Jesi) to complete their training in different fields. details
